time with the TV than they do in school. Critics say TV is biased and supports the status
quo in society. Conservative critics say TV is too liberal. (Dan Quayle’s tete-a-tete with
Murphy Brown is the classic example of this position.) Extremely conservative, far right groups
maintain TV and Hollywood are controlled by a Jewish communist conspiracy.
