Rudolph Letters
Notes:
In letters to the Reuters news agency and The Atlanta Journal
Constitution, the Army of God claimed responsibility for a bomb
blast at a clinic in Birmingham, Ala. It is currently held that
Rudolph wrote these letters. He threatens clinics, the federal
government in the form of "the ungodly communist regime,"
"ungodly perversion" (gays), and concludes with the phrase
"death to the new world order." Bear in mind that the
Olympic Park bomb was placed in the media plaza and CI thinks
the media is controlled by Jews and communists. In addition, the
Olympics itself implies international cooperation thus symbolizing to CI
cooperation with the international Jew and the New World Order.
While it is difficult to discover the exact history of the Army
of God, its believers have been indicted in a series of terrorist
acts. The Army of God is not a highly organized group of trained
terrorists, operating under centralized authority. Rather, it
functions using the tactics of "leaderless resistance"
first
suggested by paramilitary, right wing militia supporter Louis Beam.
Thus
it is a very loose and possibly wide spread network of terrorists
who act on their convictions, or who encourage and enable others to
do so. This wider community of anti-abortion
(and anti-Semitic, anti-government) extremists encourage the
violent and terrorist actions of some of their followers. Other
less extreme anti-abortion organizations and their followers
contribute to the violence as well by unspoken or insincere
criticisms of violent acts as they continue to demonize doctors
and clinic workers. Furthermore, the ties between the Army of God and militia
groups may be growing stronger.
The Army of God’s handbook-
When Life Hurts, We Can Help... THE ARMY OF GOD -
lists ways to stop abortion including arson, bombs, acid, use of
toxic chemicals and other methods of vandalism in their war against
abortion. Anti abortion violence motivated by or credited to the
Army of God include the killing of Dr. David Gunn by Michael
Griffin in 1993 in Pensacola, Florida; Paul Hill’s 1994 killing
of Dr. John Britton and his armed bodyguard (at the same clinic
where Dr. Gunn had worked.) And the murder of Dr. Barnett Slepian
in his home in Amherst, N.Y. in 1998. James Charles Kopp wanted
in the murder of Dr. Slepian and in 4 other shooting cases of
doctors in which the victims survived. Four of the total 5 were
Jewish. Kopp is longtime anti abortion activist and linked to the
Army of God by his nickname "Atomic Dog" which appears in the
Army of God Manual.
